George Craske was one of the most prolific makers of bowed string instruments, making around 2,050 violins, 300 violas, 250 cellos, and 20 double basses. He honed his craft working under Thomas Dodd and William Forster.
While working on Paganini’s Guarneri del Gesu ‘Canone,’ George Craske had the opportunity to copy it. This violin is a replica of that instrument. It features dark, reddish brown varnish and flat channeling.
